Just took this one out of the office window as a cloud front is moving in.
It looked magnificent in person, hopefully the photo conveys the grandness of it.
Has to be my fave photo of the day, after the snow was a fierce sun to clear it away.
This is the snow melting off the bowling clubhouse... I'm just loving how the splash is frozen.
Wilton Park, as Enlightening as ever!
I was taking a walk around and heard a guitar accompanied with a strong vocal to back it up. Originally I thought it could have been a radio… So I searched out the music.
I found Joby Hardwick with his friends Chris & Phill recording a video in the valley.
To hear some of his track visit

Nice guy even gave me a signed copy of his latest album, sweet.
I even got a mention http://jobyhardwick.tumblr.com/
Just had a look through my archive for todays picture post and found this beauty, it was taken on one of my photo tours around Wilton Park in May 2010, I recollect the smell of this plant/flower is so strong, on a warm spring morning the garlic odour just takes your breath away.
It may be cold, wet, and windy out there today, but remember to fix your mind on the fact Spring is only round the corner.
My plan is to post more spring photographs, just to get everyone in the mood, raising your spirits on this damp day.
Took this in August 2010, from what I remember I took some really interesting photos of clouds, and more clouds, this is by far the strangest. In the biz they call it a
circumzenithal arc, normally only seen in the North Pole, nice to see it decided to smile on Birstall. There were many more sightings, which even made the papers, here's one which I'm sure is the same one I saw

The greenness of the water is amazing, it was really that colour! honest, no retouching. You can even see this colour on the Google map.
To the left, out of shot is the Menai Bridge

I just found this in the archives, I took this using Dale's 50mm Nikon lens.
What grabs me about this photo is the worn stone texture from the city air pollution and the warm orange colour.
Nothing beats a prime lens, maybe just maybe, I should treat myself to one, off to Ebay…
