Just had a look through my archive for todays picture post and found this beauty, it was taken on one of my photo tours around Wilton Park in May 2010, I recollect the smell of this plant/flower is so strong, on a warm spring morning the garlic odour just takes your breath away.
It may be cold, wet, and windy out there today, but remember to fix your mind on the fact Spring is only round the corner.
My plan is to post more spring photographs, just to get everyone in the mood, raising your spirits on this damp day.
Took this in August 2010, from what I remember I took some really interesting photos of clouds, and more clouds, this is by far the strangest. In the biz they call it a
circumzenithal arc, normally only seen in the North Pole, nice to see it decided to smile on Birstall. There were many more sightings, which even made the papers, here's one which I'm sure is the same one I saw

The greenness of the water is amazing, it was really that colour! honest, no retouching. You can even see this colour on the Google map.
To the left, out of shot is the Menai Bridge

I just found this in the archives, I took this using Dale's 50mm Nikon lens.
What grabs me about this photo is the worn stone texture from the city air pollution and the warm orange colour.
Nothing beats a prime lens, maybe just maybe, I should treat myself to one, off to Ebay…
I caught this picture back in July 2010, just near Wakefield, whilst out with some friends.
If you look up, you will see a sundog from time to time, especially when the sun is getting low.
Here's an explanation from Petersons First Guides, Clouds and Weather
Sun Dog. When the sun, an observer, and horizontal surfaces of ice plates are in the same plane, refraction produces bright spots on both sides of the suns at 22º. these are also called mock suns.
The winter suns fiery power is magnificent, I love how it makes the snow and branches glow. This is the winter wonderland, AKA, Wilton Park.
I was really happy with this shot, It's fantastic how the powder snow's flying off Willow's front paws, this really adds to the motion.
It looks like she's flying, well as much as a dog of her stature could be.
This is one of the first times I took her out in the snow, and she loved it…
It's been ages since I shared a photo, and out of all the photos that come to mind, this is the one. I think it was one of those being in the right time at the right place photos. This was taken before the snow hit back in November 2010, when Willow and I where walking around Wilton Park woods, Batley. Let me know what you think by leaving a comment.

Some more Halloween fun, have a great evening…
Haa haa ha
It has been ages since I uploaded any photos to Posterous (hopefully this is me back on track) as I've been updating my photo library to Aperture.
This was an charity event that took place in Tai ChiWilton Park on 25th July, where a local Tai Chi group held a 30 minute lesson
for the locals of Birstall & Batley. It was a good turn out, I think more people than were expected joined in.
After a little hickup with the sound system, a car rolled up to play the relaxing Tai Chi track through its stereo, and theTai Chi session started off a little rusty, after a few minutes everyone got into the swing of it.
Also I got talking to Barry, who's the Park Warden. We agreed there should be something in the park every Sunday.
Then the locals would come to see whats happening in the park, even if they didn't know what was on. AllThey'd need to know its happening in Wilton Park.
